Q: How did you come into contact with Pure & Original?
Martijn: I came across Pure & Original a lot on social media and in home magazines, that caught my attention. This caused me to contact Erwin Floor. I then did a number of specific courses and by practicing a lot with the products of Pure and Original I have already achieved many great results.
Q: What do you like most about your job?
Martijn: The best part of my job is the whole picture. From the first appointment with a customer to the delivery of the work. This is often a long process, but well worth it.
Q: What is your favorite type of paint and paint colour?
Martijn: Yes, that is difficult to answer, because there is no arguing about taste. But I think the more natural the shade of a lime paint, the more beautiful it often looks. “The trend now is warm gray tones and with the right interior it really is a picture. But I also really appreciate the combination with brighter colours.
Q: What colours did you use at home?
Martijn: I applied the colour Black Smoke to the fireplace of my home.
Q: What colours do you often use for projects?
Martijn: Strangely enough, the colour Chalk White is very common. In conversations with the customers, it appears that people often want to play it safe and do not immediately dare to opt for a more intensive colour. But experience shows that they often come back to it after they have had this colour in their home for a few years. It is a nice calm colour, but sometimes you want something different.
Q: What kind of changes do you see in the Dutch painting world over time?
Martijn: Unfortunately, I have to say that there aren’t that many professionals, and I think that’s a shame. It is a wonderful profession and you always make people happy with craftsmanship.
Q: Why do your customers choose Pure & Original?
Martijn: My customers choose Pure & Original because they want a quality product and also the professional behind it. The appearance of the product is very special and people want that!
Q: Are you currently working on a project or are you proud of a great project?
Martijn: At the moment I am working on a house in Leerdam. Actually, the entire house is equipped with Fresco in the colours Wet Sand and Warm Grey and the fireplace in the living room White Rhino.
Q: Do you have anything to add/is there anything else you would like to say?
