A summery interior with a new fresh colour

A summery interior with a new fresh colour

About a year ago I painted our living room wall in the colour pale pink. A beautiful colour, but I was ready for a new fresh colour for the summer! For example, I chose the colour Coffee CreamCoffee Cream from Pure & Original. To give the living room a unique look, I chose the Marrakech Walls paint, which gives the wall a tough concrete look & a luxurious look.

Apply in 3 super simple steps:

Before you can start you need the following things: brush, paint roller, paint bucket, covering material for the floor, tape, the Marrakech spatula, WallPrim Pro and Marrakech Walls paint. We have let the colour pass to the kitchen, then it is nice if the paint is water-repellent and washable. We used the Dead Flat Eco Sealer for this.

Preparation for painting

Remove electrical outlets from the wall, cover the floor, and tape the edges. Check for imperfections and sand if necessary.

Step 1: Apply the WallPrim Pro

WallPrim Pro is a primer and ensures good adhesion of the Marrakech Walls. You can dilute this to a maximum of 10% water, but this is not necessarily necessary. Apply the WallPrim Pro with a paint roller.

Step 2: Time for the Marrakech Walls concrete look paint

Marrakech Walls is a fairly thick paint, stir it well first. Apply this with a nice full coat. Let the paint dry for a few minutes and then spread it criss-cross over the wall with the spatula. Avoid raised edges. Let it dry until the next day.

Step 3: Lightly sand the wall with sandpaper

For a nice concrete look, lightly sand the wall with sandpaper (400 grit or higher). If you want more shades of colour, go over the paint again with the spatula, if it gets a little too dark, sand the area lightly again. The paintwork is ready :)

Make the wall washable and protect with the Dead Flat Eco Sealer

For a water-repellent and washable wall, use the Dead Flat Eco Sealer. I applied 3 layers of Dead Flat Eco Sealer for the kitchen and 1 layer in the living room to get the same look. The Dead Flat Eco Sealer ensures that the paint color becomes slightly darker, so it is recommended to continue this over the entire wall. This also protects the paint and makes stains easy to work with. Ready!

The paint colour Coffee Cream

This color gives the living room a warm, light and luxurious atmosphere. A nice earthy shade that can be combined with almost all colors. See below some images of the living room, dining room and kitchen. We are completely in love with this new fresh, summery colour.
