Kalei Lime wash

Lime wash is midway between plastering and painting. It is an old technique that has been applied for hundreds of years. Nowadays it is often used for renovations, but it will also give nice results in new developments.

It forms a lasting rain and weather resistant treatment in which the substructure (the masonry), the joint and stone, is still partly visible. Lime wash used to be applied several times to obtain the specific desired effect. The Lime of Pure & Original is ready to be used, smooth and is easily applicable with the Pure & Original lime wash brush.

The Quartz lime wash, a lime wash into which quartz is processed and the Calx lime wash, a lime wash that is smooth and plaster mat.

A further finish is not necessary, yet for an old look an extra layer of plaster is applied.
